How to go to the Workshop on Molecular Catalysts and Catalysis?
The Workshop is located at the University of Rennes 1, at the scientific campus of Beaulieu (map). The city of Rennes is located in the northwest of France, in Brittany. It is close to Paris, the Mont Saint Michel and the fabled Broceliande forest of the legendary King Arthur.
Do not hesitate to use online ressources to find where exactly Rennes is in France (for example: http://www19.mappy.com/?lang=en or http://www.mapquest.com/maps/main.adp?country=FR, or even google earth)
From the international airport:
The Rennes-St Jacques airport is 8 kms far from Rennes' downtown. Car rentals and taxis are available.
Taxi is the easiest way to come to the university (please precise "Campus de Beaulieu"). There will be some road signs within the University to indicate the conferences' site. Rennes is not a huge city and it would take only 20 to 30 minutes to go to the University from the airport, depending on traffic.
From the train station:
Rennes is at two hours from Paris by train. For train schedules please consult the web-site of the French railway company (in English):
From the train station you can take either a taxi or the bus.
If you take the bus, it would take about 15 minutes. At the train station, choose the north side exit (groundfloor), take the subway (direction "J.F. Kennedy") and stop at "République". There, take the bus #16, direction "Atalante-Beaulieu" to reach the nearest bus stop from the workshop site. Then, follow the road signs (less than 3 minutes by foot).
For any further details (fares, etc.), please visit the web site of the bus company: (http://www.star.fr/compl/index_gb.html in English).
